Lobmeyr 200 Years

A monograph on the anniversary of the world-famous glass company J. & L. Lobmeyr, Vienna, whose production has been based on close contacts with glass manufacturers in Bohemia throughout its history. The monograph focuses on monitoring, analyzing and evaluating the artistic and craft development of Lobmeyr production, its stylistic form significantly influenced by cooperation with leading contemporary designers. At the same time, it notes the irreplaceable, but also mutually beneficial and beneficial production links to Czech glassworks and refining companies. The book is divided into seven chronologically arranged chapters, or, to emphasize certain sections of development (exhibitions, company history), divided into subchapters. Individual chapters are presented with a keyword-based overview of important data from the company's history. Each chapter, or subchapter, consists of a continuous block of text and a separate commented catalog section. The objects or archival documentation are accompanied by a basic factual and technical description and, as a rule, a commentary pointing out special and important details and the significance of the object. The book is also published in a Czech version.
